GlowLens (glowlens.ai) is an AI-powered cosmetic ingredient analysis service. Our service allows you to scan, search, and analyze the ingredients of cosmetic and skincare products. The analysis results provided by GlowLens are for informational purposes only and do NOT constitute medical, dermatological, or professional health advice. You should always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making decisions about your skin health or discontinuing the use of any product.

2. Account Registration

To access certain features of GlowLens, you may need to create an account. Account authentication is handled through our provider Clerk. By creating an account, you agree to:

- Provide accurate and complete registration information - Keep your login credentials secure and confidential - Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account - Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Acceptable Use

When using GlowLens, you agree not to:

- Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose - Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts - Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or extract data from the service without prior written consent - Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service - Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code - Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service - Use the service to infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others - Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organization

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account.

4. Intellectual Property

The GlowLens service, including its design, code, algorithms, content, and branding, is owned by the operator and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our service without prior written consent.

You retain all rights to any data you submit to GlowLens, including product searches and preferences. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service.

5. AI-Generated Content

The ingredient analysis results provided by GlowLens are generated using artificial intelligence technology. While we strive for accuracy, you acknowledge and agree that:

- AI-generated analyses may contain inaccuracies or errors - Results should not be used as a substitute for professional medical or dermatological advice - The service does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any skin condition or disease - Ingredient safety assessments may vary based on individual factors such as skin type, allergies, and health conditions - You use the analysis results at your own risk and discretion

GlowLens makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law, GlowLens and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.

In particular, we provide no warranty for the accuracy of AI-generated ingredient analyses and accept no liability for decisions made based on such analyses. Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or CHF 100, whichever is greater.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Swiss Law, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of GlowLens shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Winterthur, Switzerland.

8. Severability

If any provision of these Terms of Service is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated terms on our website and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of GlowLens after the publication of revised terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you should discontinue use of the service.
